The Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) is (was?) funded largely by the Department of Health. It brings together a number of programmes and teams including the National Institute for Mental Health in England (NIMHE). CSIP's key role is to deliver local improvement, and policy development and implementation support. CSIP has been tasked with implementing the Mental Health Act 2007 on behalf of the Department of Health, including training, advocacy, Supervised Community Treatment, administration and new roles and ways of working.
