Transaction criteria
Transaction criteria documents were used by the LSC in various areas of law, including for Mental Health Tribunals, to audit files, by looking for evidence of information gained, advice given, and steps taken. The mental health transaction criteria were published in 2000. Although transaction criteria audits no longer take place, the criteria are mentioned in the "thorough preparation" chapter of the mental health peer review guidance. They are a useful basis for file checklists to ensure that nothing is forgotten.
