The UK Statute Law Database is now on line and is in the process of being updated. See:

Thanks Ron. There are some links to it already, but most are still to the OPSI site which I need to change. By the way, the internet address http://www.statutelaw.gov.uk/legResults.aspx?LegType=All+Legislation&title=mental+health+act&searchEnacted=0&extentMatchOnly=0&confersPower=0&blanketAmendment=0&TYPE=QS&NavFrom=0&activeTextDocId=1729080&PageNumber=1&SortAlpha=0 can be shortened to the neater http://www.statutelaw.gov.uk/legResults.aspx?activeTextDocId=1729080 as it's only the activeTextDocId that you need.

I've now created a separate Statute Law Database page as it's relevant to nearly everything rather than just the Mental Health Act 1983.
