Amends s135. Code C is relevant to s135 and s136.

Amendments

Schedule 6 para 26 amends MHA 1983 s135:

In section 135(4)of the Mental Health Act 1983 for the words “the constable to whom it is addressed”, in both places where they occur, there shall be substituted the words “a constable”.

Schedule 7 partially repeals s135:

In subsections (1) and (2), the words “named in the warrant”
Code C (requirements for the detention, treatment and questioning of suspects not related to terrorism in police custody by police officers) is relevant to MHA 1983 s135 and s136.
