THE ONES THAT LOVE YOU THE MOST
'''ARE THE ONES WILLING TO FIGHT FOR YOU'''
'''I SWORE TO DEFEND YOU'''
'''I VOUNTEERED'''
'''I RISKED MY LIFE'''
'''SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO'''
'''WHILE YOU WARE WATCHING THIS...'''
THERE ARE '''300,000''' HOMELESS VETERANS '''SLEEPING ON THE STREETS'''
'''AND THIS NUMBER IS RISING'''
'''OVER 1.4 MILLION VETERANS''' ARE AT RISK '''OF BECOMING HOMELESS'''
MORE THAN '''67%''' OF HOMELESS VETERANS '''SERVED OUR COUNTRY''' FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS
THEY GAVE '''EVERYTHING'''
YET WE ARE '''FAILING THEM'''
I spoke to God today
And she said that she's ashamed
What have I become?
What have I done?
WHILE YOU ARE WATCHING THIS...
I spoke to the devil today
And he swears he's not to blame
A SOLDIER SOMEWHERE '''DOESN'T UNDERSTAND''' WHY HE IS SO '''EASILY DISCARDED'''
And I understood
'Cause I feel the same
YET HE KEEPS '''FIGHTING ON'''
Arms wide open
I stand alone
I'm no hero
And I'm not made of stone
Right or wrong
I can hardly tell
I'm on the wrong side of Heaven
And the righteous side of Hell
The wrong side of Heaven
And the righteous side
The righteous side of Hell
WHILE YOU ARE WATCHING THIS '''A VETERAN IS LOSING HIS FAMILY'''
I heard from God today
And she sounded just like me
What have I done?
And who have I become?
I saw the devil today
DIVORCE RATE AMONG MILITARY COUPLES '''HAS INCREASED 42%'''
And he looked a lot like me
I looked away
I turned away
Arms wide open
I stand alone
I'm no hero
And I'm not made of stone
Right or wrong
AN ESTIMATED '''460,000 VETERANS''' SUFFER FROM '''POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER - PTSD'''
I can hardly tell
I'm on the wrong side of Heaven
And the righteous side of Hell
"It'll be okay"
The wrong side of Heaven
And the righteous side
The righteous side of Hell
WHILE YOU ARE WATCHING THIS
A VETERAN IS ROAMING THE STREETS '''HELPLESS'''
HOMELESS VETS SPEND AN AVERAGE OF '''6 YEARS''' ON THE STREETS
I'm not defending
WHILE YOU ARE WATCHING THIS
Downward descending
Falling further and further away
A VETERAN '''DOESN'T UNDERSTAND'''
Getting closer every day
WHY HIS SACRIFICE '';WENT UNAPPRECIATED'''
I'm getting closer every day
To the end
To the end, the end, the end
I'm getting closer every day
Arms wide open
'''WHILE YOU ARE WATCHING THIS''' A VETERAN SOMEWHERE IS '''NOT GETTING ANY HELP'''
I stand alone
THE VETERANS ADMINSTRATION HAVE RESOURCES TO SERVE '''ONLY A FRACTION OF OUR VETERANS'''
I'm no hero
And I'm not made of stone
Right or wrong
I can hardly tell
"It's me"
I'm on the wrong side of Heaven
And the righteous side of Hell
"You saved my life brother"
The wrong side of Heaven
And the righteous side of Hell
"It'll be okay"
The wrong side of Heaven
And the righteous side
The righteous side of Hell
IN THE TIME YOU WERE WATCHING THIS VIDEO
A VETERAN SOMEWHERE TOOK HIS OWN LIFE
NEARLY 5000 VETERANS DIE BY THEIR OWN HANDS EVERY YEAR
THAT'S ONE VETERAN EVERY TWO HOURS
IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE CAUSE AND HELP OR IF YOU ARE A VETERAN IN NEED CONTACT ONE OF THESE ORGANIZATIONS
