An internet resource on mental health law in England & Wales, primarily for mental health practitioners, to which anyone can contribute.

There are currently three embryonic sections to this website which hopefully, given time, will develop into the following:

Caselaw		Legislation		General information
Regularly updated commentaries on the cases, with links to the full text judgments on Bailii. (Bailii contains nearly every judgment, but no specific commentary.) New: R (O) v MHRT [2006]		A simple and up-to-date commentary on the Mental Health Act 1983 and related legislation. New: Up-to-date MHA and Rules		General articles to explain the concepts and terminology used in the caselaw and legislation sections; and practical guidance for lawyers

The current content is skeletal; you are encouraged to add flesh to the bones. The process is simple. Create an account by selecting a username and password. At the top of each page there is an 'Edit' option – just click on it, edit the page, then click 'Save'. Select 'Help' on the navigation menu for further information. Don't feel you're too good or too inexperienced to help - the only excuse is being too busy! :-)
