R v Nafei [2004] EWCA Crim 3238
Appeal against 12-year prison sentence for importation of drugs, in circumstances where the medical evidence supported a hospital order, was refused: the judge had properly exercised his discretion, particularly since there was no causal connection between the mental illness and the offending; the 12-year term was not excessive.
