Seriously irresponsible conduct High Court exercising inherent jurisdiction to determine the best interests of mentally impaired adult. Total lack of road sense and a tendency to rush into the road without looking not seriously irresponsible conduct for purposes of mental impairment.

The "seriously irresponsible conduct" part of the decision was not followed in R (GC) v Managers of the Kingswood Centre of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CO/7784/2008).
