We are looking for a Solicitor to join our specialist and niche Court of Protection department, you will work alongside a supportive and down to earth team who are genuinely committed to your career and development.

The Role:

You will be predominantly dealing with health and welfare cases in the Court of Protection, managing a caseload of welfare matters, including applications pursuant to s16 and s21A Mental Capacity Act 2005.

This role allows you to be part of a system that safeguards the rights and dignity of vulnerable individuals. Your work will contribute to improving the lives of those who need it most.

You:

You will need to be a Qualified Solicitor with a current practicing certificate, or Legal Executive with experience in applications under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Legal aid community care supervisor standard and Law Society Accreditation in Mental Capacity (“ALR”) are not essential but would be desirable.

Our Court of Protection and Community Care team have a strong reputation in this area of work in the Northwest. They are well-recognised in this area of work and have relationships with key referrers of work and other parties.

The team are rapidly expanding, there is a strong focus on the development and progression of our existing employees with a clear structure in place for career development.
