Community Care Law Solicitor/Barrister/Legal Executive

Our award-winning law firm is expanding our Community Care Law department which is led by Cate Searle.

We specialise in Court of Protection litigation, safeguarding adults at risk, mental capacity and best interests decision-making, health and social care funding, and commissioning and public law challenges of inadequate health and social care packages

Our team is recognised in the current Legal 500 in the health law category. In 2016, we won the Law Society Excellence Award in Business Development for our innovative services for professional deputies. We provide case work support in community care and public law matters to professional deputies & attorneys, and private client and personal injury solicitors across England and Wales.

You will be an experienced, enthusiastic lawyer with strong knowledge of health and social care law, looking to join a firm whose lawyers are recognised as leaders in their field.

With at least three years post-qualification experience in community care law, you will have handled cases in most of our practice areas, specifically working with vulnerable people and conducting your own advocacy in the Court of Protection.

You will have strong analytical skills, enjoy problem solving and will have demonstrable experience of applying public law principles to privately-funded case work. Experience of running training courses and supervising colleagues as well as challenging public law decisions by judicial review is desirable.

Our case management system and supportive working culture mean that we are able to offer flexible working. We are an equal opportunities employer and work to Lexcel and Investors in People standards. We are committed to ongoing professional development, and all our employees have access to quality training and career development in a friendly and team-based working environment. We offer the opportunity for everyone to play a key role in our continuing growth and expansion.
